Service Description

At First Rate Golf we take great pride in fitting customers of all ability levels for golf equipment. You will find it incredible what a session with a professional can do for your all around game. In each fitting we begin by asking the golfer a series of questions to build a solid foundation. During this step, we are primarily looking to identify basic measurements, approximate budget, skill level, and the traits the customer is looking for in their new equipment. The customer works one-on-one with a professional to identify tendencies in their golf swing and find clubs that will optimize performance. In every fitting we will also ask the customer for feedback in terms of the appearance and feel of the clubs being tested. From here, we will have the background knowledge to recommend a handful of golf clubs that we think will improve results and inspire confidence. Fitting sessions are by appointment only. Book for free, bring a friend if you like, and come on down to our site located in New Rochelle, NY. We are available 7 days a week, from 6am-9pm. Drivers, Fairway Woods, Hybrids, Utility Driving Irons, Iron Sets: We will conduct an in-depth interview to learn about your golf experience, goals, and preferences. After determining your general ability, desires, and budget we will make recommendations that also take into account advanced shaft analysis. This includes weight, launch profile, and flex, in order to optimize distance and accuracy. Wedges: We observe several swings to determine your skill set and then advise a theoretical loft based on desired wedge set up and overall level of proficiency. We then conduct trial sessions of different manufacturers' wedges to determine make/model and a definitive loft. Finally, we evaluate advanced components of the golf swing such as desired ball flight to help nail down the ideal pick. Putter: We start with a rough measurement of your physical characteristics (posture and height) to determine the proper length of club that fits you. We use a dynamic adjustment analysis to determine proper head shape for ideal alignment. Lastly, we use an advanced evaluation to match the proper putter style to stroke.
